Mission Statement
Building Families First, Inc.
Is a Christ-centered agency providing educational and interactive programs to Rochester and surrounding communities. Our ambition is to enrich the personal and professional quality of life, for those who wish to discover, improve, or expand their knowledge through the ability to perform a variety of life enhancing skills.
CORONAVIRUS UPDATES (COVID-19): Building Families First, Inc., wants to take this opportunity and give you an update on our current situation and how we plan to continue the different classes and programs that we love and provide so much in the Finger Lake region to include Monroe and Wayne counties.
On June 26th, 2020, the Finger Lakes region began the business and community reopening phase after meeting the mandatory criteria to move from one phase to another. In the human services industry, the office of New York State Governor Andrew Cuomo has given day-clearance programs a go-ahead under CDC guidelines.
Starting August 3rd - 2020, we will reopen programs and activities at the center for our students and clients with the following measures in place:
-
Initially, only 25% of students and clients will be admitted to the facility at any given time.
-
Facial covering (masks) mandate and policy will continue to be in effect while on the premises. Students with medical excuse and respiratory concerns will be guided to their one on class rooms isolated from general population. Where students may not, staff will always have a facial covering at all times.
-
Staff, students and clients must wash their hands with water and soap for at least 20 seconds upon arrival and in between activities.
-
All activities at this point will be one on one only, no group activities until further notice.
-
Traditional surfaces and equipment such as drums, computers, game consoles etc. Will be wiped after every use.
-
Building Families First transportation vehicles will be sanitized before and after each trip.
We are very excited to see you again and continue on the path of progression that we were before the pre-corona virus pandemic.
Together, we are strong in New York and we continue to change lives, one student at a time.
